I got to play in my craftroom last night :) I only made one card but boy did it feel good.
I used the 2012 anniversary set from PTI, Pretty Peonies, as well as Half and Half die and stamp, and Edgers. I had a Studio Calico kit out and was inspired by the blue dot paper and the Accent Cuts that are from Crate Paper Random that were in the SC Country Fair Scrapbooking kit.
This is being mailed out tomorrow to thank someone for a very thoughtful gift.
I had this photo up from Dawn McVey's blog that gave me the inspiration:
I love her bold, clean cards.
Click on this photo and it will bring you to her blog.
Thank you for checking in!
BTW: if anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong while photographing my projects I would love to know. I have a good camera, and I've been playing with lighting, but clearly I'm doing something wrong. They look better in person :( Thanks in advance.

Gorgeous! I love this! And you did a great job cutting - I have such a tough time cutting those frames ... :)
Grogeous card! I love how you used the Half and Half frame (I so need to use those more) and that very pretty peonie and frame! I have struggles with photography for a long time, while I am still stuggling to make my cards look as well as the others I see online, I will say that what has made the world of difference has been #1 taking my photos outside in natural light whenever possible, and always use photo editor. I use photobucket, and upload my photos and 'autocorrect" them and crop if needed, then link from there to my blog! Hope this helps a little...let me know if you have any other questions. I am also on Ted's forum. :)
Just beautiful Mel! I didn't get the Half and Half dies…now Im wishing I had!
Everything Jessica said: use natural lighting and a photo editor. I use iPhoto that came with my Mac and always have to fiddle with the exposure and contrast. Also, Im not sure what type of camera you have but I have a simple point & shoot type of camera (Canon SD 1000) and my settings are at Portrait, Macro, no flash. HTH!
Thanks so much for the photo tips. Hopefully we will be getting some sun here in Portland and I'll take more pictures.
