I finally took photos of my scrapbooking pages that I've completed in the last year or so. For now I'm just going through them all up here, hopefully later I'll add comments. TFL

Me at 37

PTI stamp "through the trees" and Studio Calico Cloud rubons.

Babbling Brook Background stamp from Studio Calico. I heat Embossed with Mustered ZING. Diecut the numbers using my PTI "by the numbers" dies and found the paper on the back of a Studio Calico advertisement that came in the kit. Love it when I find little goodies I can use.
I die cut the "life" using PTI Mat Stack 4 and found the paper from a backing in the Studio Calico packaging from the wood butterflies. I wanted yellow but not solid, and not floral. As soon as I saw it, I thought "that's it". I had to heat emboss the "life" because the paper was glossy and would not have dried without smearing. I used the Outlined Alphabet from PTI, my new favorite alphabet stamp set.

You Look Fabulous Darling!

The boys love playing with my heals. Who says Girls are the only ones to play dress-up? Rhys was hamming it up in these photos.  I was using last months Studio Calico kits and what ever else I found on my desk. Including PTI little tags. And you can't see it too well in this photo but I stamped FABULOUS over and over, from PTO "Say it with Style" stamp set on the cream color cardstock. And a bonus I got to use Glitter on this boy page :)

My Space Invader

Jack has a special skill of kicking me out of my own bed.  He sleeps in his bed, but about once a week he comes quietly into our room and cuddles in next to me with out making a sound. He's stealthy, and before I know it I'm asleep. But then I wake up overheating because I am sandwiched between my husband, Ryan, and Jack.  The photo above show how he slowly keeps moving across the bed, ending up taking the whole bed!

Easter Wishes

Just because, I just received these tulips and I had to play.
This was my first card made playing with my new Tulip Stamp and was a bit reserved with my coloring. The Easter wishes tag is the jar label folded in half over the ribbon and sewn on. I'm really enjoying having my sewing machine on my scrap table.
I was so pleased with the way this turned out that I wanted to try being a bit bolder with my coloring and this is what I got:
I Just Love It!

I have got to get some sleep but I wanted to share these with you. I'll post items used and can write more about what I did really soon. Ask any questions you may have and I'll be sure to answer them when I edit the post.
Thanks for looking!
Good Night,

Papertrey March Blog Hop Challenge

My March Blog Hop creations
Peace, Love, Joy
It is hard to tell from this photo (sorry) but the flower is fabric and the center is sewn with embroidery floss. I love this card in person, there is a ton of PTI goodness used, 6 dies, 2 stamps, cardstock and felt.

In the spirit of the INKers March Challenge and the BlogHop I've made this Brighter days card. This one did not end up the way I had envisioned it and in fact had almost found it's way in the round file more than once.  My "trigger" to finding PTI were these fluffy clouds. My first direction on this card was to sew the clouds with the floss, but in the end it just didn't show up enough. So I played some more. Stamped the rays of the sun, and again, they didn't show up enough, so I used some yellow floss and loved the way it turned out.

After making the flower for my first card, I ran out and bought some more fabric to play with. I used the Smoky Shadow cardstock (looks black here) and oh wow do I need to get more of it, it is beautiful. I picked up some random items that I had cut out for "Peach Joy Love" card above and threw this together. It took a tenth of the time it took me to do the other cards and it just might be my favorite. But it's hard to say because they each of such a different feel to them.

Just for fun I messed around and made this:
I stamped on the clear sheet that we get with our stamps with Stazon. I attempted to do floss all over the balloon, but it didn't look good so in this case, less is more, I tied a bow on it and called it good. Here is a close up to show the plastic overlay.

MIM #7: Adding Color to Non-Neutral Cardstock

Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #7: Adding Color to Non- Neutral Cardstock
find out more and watch tutorial video Here

This is just the stamped image on Pure Poppy Cardstock. It was so beautiful just as it was, I almost left it as it was.

I decided to grab the Pure Poppy Copic markers R24, R29, R59 and went for subtlety on card the card below. I loved how the accent parts that look lighter was actually just cardstock showing through with no marker on it.

Next I wanted to try being more bold and doing more shading like it is shown in the video I also added leaves.  I think this is a personal choice, but I think I like the more subtle one better. For me these are two completely different looks even though the same colors are used, just in different locations.

It was great playing with my Copic markers, they are very new to me so it's nice to get some different techniques under my belt.

MIM #5 Distressing Edges

Papertrey Make it Mondays - Distressing Edges original post
I started out just playing with the new paper pad and my PTI dies. But then I saw the MIM #5 challenge and thought I could make it again using the distressing technique shown. I had fun mix-matching the papers. I used 4 peices of paper out of the pad and made 7 presents. I sewed the "ribbon" on the presents and the real ribbon on the bottom of the card.  I plan on making simular cards with the remaining presents to have in my stash and to put in my card gift bundles I give out each year.

With distressing.

MIM #4 Creating with Fun Foam

The details for the MIM challenge can be found Here
I stamped out a number 4 out with my PTI "By the Numbers" dies of fun foam and used it as a stamp to create the background on PTI Aqua Mist cardstock.
Then to keep up with the March INKer's challenge I used my first PTI love "up up and away" stamps and dies to make the hot air balloon and cloud. The cloud is diecut out of fun foam.
I used the sentiments and circle from "tiny treats: Birthday" and I used my the Limitless Layers for the ruffle behind the circle.

INKer's March Challenge

Your Discovery of Papertrey Ink?
With Papertrey Ink not being in any store there is a story behind everyone of our  discovery of it's existence. Granted some of us may have been PTI fans  four years ago, but still there is a story to tell. And I think each is worth telling. So what opened your eyes to Papertrey Ink?  With all the products out there something drove you to search them out. What was it?
For me it was this card on the Two Peas and a Bucket website Forum that drove me to search out Papertrey Ink. I loved the clouds and the sentiments, and just about everything about it. So my first order included the stamps and dies for "Up Up and away" and I was hooked.... oh yeah and I had to run out and buy a Big Shot to boot.
As I've mentioned before my (trigger) to search out Papertrey Ink was "Up Up and away" Dies. So here are a few cards I made a couple of months ago (before copics).

Here is the card I made yesterday, playing with my new Copics and a few other PTI goodies ;)

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in the challenge, go to the INKer's page Here!
